Time is flying this year, and here we are with another chess rating update. Before I show you the new numbers, I will say that I’ve not been studying chess methodically, but I plan to change that this month, as mentioned in my previous post on my new plan for chess improvement.
Chess Game Ratings Update
Type | Rating | Period Δ | Total Δ | Goal % |
---|---|---|---|---|
Chess.com Rapid | 865 | +163 (+23.2%) | +300 (+53.1%) | 2000 (43.3%) |
Chess.com Daily | 1370 | +120 (+9.6%) | +181 (+15.2%) | 2000 (68.5%) |
CFC Rating | Unrated | N/A | N/A | 1800 |
The “Period delta” reflects the change over the past month, while the “Total delta” indicates my progress from the start of my journey on February 14, 2025.

As you can see, I broke 800 in Rapid and 1300 in correspondence/Daily. 🎉

Some Thoughts on My Progress
All in all, I’m happy with my current progress. Though I have not been studying systematically, I’m progressing rapidly, which is outpacing my initial expectations.
Of course, the higher the rating, the harder it gets to make improvements, but I’m optimistic that we’ll continue to see some growth next month. Especially if I manage to follow through with my new study plan.
